Ultimate is a team sport that combines the pace and speed of soccer with elements of football and basketball. Games are seven on seven, played on a field similar to a football field. The object is to catch a pass in the end zone. If the defense intercepts or knocks down a pass from the offense, they immediately become the offense going the opposite direction. The game is played without referees on all levels, even at the national and world championships.
Dallas Ultimate is starting up our tenth year of playing Winter League at the Las Colinas Polo fields. We have approximately 450-500 registered participants each season, with about 400 players showing up each Saturday to play. The league runs for ten Saturdays from December through early March. There are two coed divisions, a more social division and a more competitive division. Players register for Winter League from October through November on the WL website: www.dallaswinterleague.com. Dallas Ultimate is recruiting sponsors for this year’s Winter League. We are a nonprofit, 501(c)(3), sports league run by volunteers and we offer tax deductibility for donations.
